A beer with a family backstory, our well-loved Blodwen's comes inspired by Idris Parry's younger sister. The finest cockle picker in all of Wales, she was famed for being fair of form and sweet of face. The same can be said of this fine ale - made from pale malted barley and flavoured with citrus hops.

Not much aroma but what there is is banana, flavour of light banana grass other than that not much going on. Not sure where the citrus is.

500ml bottle: BBE Dec 2016. Poured into a UK pint sleeve on 17th June 2016 during a ’Random Rating Evening’ held with myself. Light golden pour, bright, clean and clear: white topping with carbonation bubbles rising through the body popping throughout the tasting. Light malty front to the nose and taste, some citrusy hop action in the flavours to balance out the malts semi-sweetness. Decent enough without testing my senses too greatly.

Bottle from Cheers in Mumbles. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - it just smells like a malt bag. Maybe a hint of citrus. Taste - slightly more going on in the taste but not much. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a dry finish. Overall - just too grainy, like the other beers I’ve had by them.
