Tap at Cafe de Tete. Aroma is very malty, lots of grain, bit of sweetness. Taste is good, if a little boring. Lots of grain again.

Pours golden with a bit of foam. Grainy aroma, simple light beer. Bready, clean and refreshing, not too exciting though.

Bottle (thanks jinroh). Pours golden. Aroma is grainy, malty, some fruits, some sourness, cardboard. Flavor is sweet, cardboard, grains, fruits, malt. Overall: not good.

Tap at Pub Edo. Crackery malt nose with some grass and grain notes (almost lager-like). More graininess with some light apricot on the palate. Very faint bitterness on the finish. Quite a malt-forward beer. Pretty boring and too safe. Meh. --- Beer merged from original tick of Swan Lake Golden Ale on 16 Feb 2016 at 14:44

Swan Lake Ale 5% A clear gold with a thick white soapy head of foam. The aroma is crackery malts and floral/fruity noble hops. Medium to light bodied with a crisp clean flavor and balanced taste of chewy mild malts and soft fruity hoppiness.

This kind of deft execution reminds me of what Swan Lake is capable of. This beer went from a 2.9 to a 3.6

Part of their 3900 yen Rakuten Thank You Set. It is a very light malty beer with a little hop flavor. I found it refreshing but kind of weak and thin for me...

Has the looks of a pale lager. Aroma of light malts and hops. Sweet malts, some fruits, DMS- made me think of an imperial pale lager, if such a thing existed. Medium bodied. Not a bad brew by any means and I’m sure on a warm sumer evening this would be very refreshing, but it’s kind of boring and does nothing for me on a cold winter night.

On tap at Popeye’s. Very fruity and light, actually quite lager-like (reminded me of an Austrian Vollbier). Fruity, fragrant and bitter hops. A bit too light for me, and not all that special, but clean easy to drink on a hot summer day. Can’t complain about these hops.

Pale golden color. Thin grainy body, dry grainy finish. Nose has some floral hops. Boring.
