Sour Hazy IPA - Project Maisel 2024
Our Maisel & Friends Sour Power has a juicy yellow color with a fine-pored head. The “haziness” is almost reminiscent of freshly squeezed orange juice. The fruity, tart fragrance enchants the nose from afar and is reminiscent of citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, peach, gooseberry and redcurrant. As soon as the first sip touches the taste buds, the sour power becomes palpable. The combination of a creamy-soft mouthfeel and a subtly tart touch brings an incredible freshness to the Sour Hazy IPA. Tap at Beergeek Bar. Murky yellow body, off-white head. Lactic aroma, quite sour, a bit of pineapple. Lean, dry lemony taste, bit on the dishwashing liquid side, but lemony enough. Nice and soft body, I guess the biggest trace of the base IPA, with a light lemony sourness in the end. Found, still good really!

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, snow white head. Tart-ish, fruity hoppy and slightly wheaty malty aroma, hints of quince. Taste is tart-ish, fruity and sweet-ish, pale and minimally wheaty malty, hints of quince, a touch of unripe peach, subtle sweetness. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally astringent palate, medium, soft to flat carbonation. Mild tartness, very refreshing - nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before March 2025. Hazy, straw yellow with a medium large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, minimally sourish, quite fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, pineapple, passion fruit and hints of gooseberry. Slightly sweet, moderately sour, rather fruity-floral taste of lemon, pineapple, gooseberry and passion fruit, followed by a short, slightly tart, moderately bitter and a little dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid.
