Vom Fass im Stone Brewing Berlin 2017-04 getrunken. Für Stone ein überraschend zurückhaltender Einsatz von Hopfen was die Hopfen-Bitterkeit sehr gut im Zaum hält. Fein! Nur wo sind die Kaffee- oder Mokkanoten? Nichst ist davon da. Das einfache Coffee IPA (Berlin/D) oder auch Mocha IPA (Escondido/USA) bringen diese Aromen weit besser ins Bier. Schade! Mein Favorit ist daher immer noch das Mocha IPA. Na mal sehen was die Berliner Brauer von Stone beim nächsten Batch mit der fehlenden Mokkanoten machen. Am Ende bleibt es hier immer noch ein überraschend süffiges Ale.

On tap @ Apollon. This one has a nice deeper golden colored body, almost a little amber in this and a nice lasting hefty lacing off-white almost creamy head on the top. It smells hefty hopped. Piney and lots of sap, spruces, marmalade. Also, tropical melon and a strong sticky sweetness. Coffee? Nah, not really. Intense and brutal aroma though. Like that. Tastes pretty nice also. It has a big oily texture and its soft carbonated with big minerallic bubbles. Sticky and malt sweet. Yet, really melon and peel bitter. A little medicine, green coffee beans and a long sticky marmalade like tail. Yeah, brutal all the way this. 01.06.2017

Tap at TCBW (as Stone Berlin Pilot Series: Coffee Triple IPA). Pours golden-amber. Aroma is beany coffee, popcorn. Flavor is sweet and bitter, coffee, citrus. Finish has some booze burn. Overall: drinkable.

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, leafs, minerals, wet grass, mild espresso, hay, toast, hops, mocha. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, hay, espresso, toast, caramel, leafs, grass, hops, mocha, minerals. Medium bitterness, slightly dry grassy mouthfeel. Nice.

Draught @ Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend 2017. Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of coffee, herbal hops and grass. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some coffee, herbal hops and grass. Finish is hoppy, herbal and grassy with some coffee and roastiness. Interesting.

On tap at TCBW 2017. Clear deep golden with a white head. Coffee is fairly dominating in the aroma, but there is notes of hops and fruits too. Moderate to medium sweet with a slightly weird mixture fresh, light roasted coffee and IIIPA. A bit strange, but enjoyable enough.

Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal april-17: beware! Denne er farlig lettdrikkelig, og vinkelhastigheten merkes ikke før du reiser deg. Lett ular gylden med flott skum. Deilig aroma og smak med grønne kaffebønner, honning, kvae og solvarm citrus. Elegant og lett bitterhet i ettersmaken. Velbalansert som en linedanser.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 10.04.17. Slightly hazy pale orange. Off-white head and lacing. Strong aroma of green coffee, resin, American hops and bitter tropical fruits. Similar taste. Interesting. Surprisingly drinkable in despite of a high ABV.
