Silky smooth and creamy, this beer is brewed with wholesome oats. It pours thick and coats your glass with memories. The Irish yeast accentuates the beer's depth and richness, cascade hops bring it all together for this Imperial Oatmeal Stout.

Can at home. Pours jet black and incredibly oily looking, obviously not much head. Nose is roast and dark chocolate, loads of oats and a surprisingly intense hoppyness as well, smells like a black ipa actually. The taste opens roasty and earthy with the subsequent (vague) bitterness and some astringency but the taste then takes a sweet turn real quick and goes almost all the way in this regard, especially in the finish, where it becomes almost syrupy. Otherwise there’s a firm milk chocolate character to it. The body is incredibly thick and quite literally oily, with a very low carbonation level.

Zwart bier met mooie stevige creme schuimkraag. Smaak is bitterzoet en romig met iets van drop, wat anijs, chocolade en stroop.

Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl, Vlissingen, Netherlands and consumed in an apartment at Tauplitz with Mum and Keith Sunday 4th August 2024. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Smooth in the mouth, a strong beer but drinks easier than I expected, bitter and roasty with coffee, chocolate and a little bit of caramel on the nose. The aforementioned are also present in the mouth along with creamy thick mouthfeel, perhaps there is also toffee and licorice. Good.

Can 440ml. @ home. 🏡🇩🇰 💻👀
[ As Moersleutel Slippery Slope ].
ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, oat, chocolate, coffee, barrel - wood, burnt sugar - burnt malt. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, burnt, caramelized malt - caramelized maple syrup - caramelized sugar - caramelized syrup, chocolate, roasted, malt bitter, to me a bit unbalanced. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240327]
