Moderate sweetness, light oxidation, a little honey suckle, dry biscuit, pale wood, suggestion of acidity, golden raisins, mellow salinity. Interesting stuff overall. Lacks a bit of condition. Really doesn’t scream tripel. Interesting.

Bottle via the online shop. I think with various discounts this was sub 2 quid. Which tbf is all this particular bottle is worth. Dull lifeless pour. Sits muddy sad brown in the glass. Swede is thin and dirty. After that it’s just a flat oxidised mess, unfortunately. There’s a whiff of barrel in there but overall it’s lost.

Original full wouldn't save - just taste notes left.
Oaked, red wine, stewed fruits & honey tastes with a tart finish.
Still unable to save full review or photo.
I give up on this one after 5 attempts.

330ml bottle from Buxton Brewery online shop. A golden/amber coloured pour with a thinnish white head on top. Sweet, vinous, citrus, fruity barrel action with a hint of grape. It's fine but not doing cartwheels over this one.

Just a light haze on this orange gold beer, teeny tiny pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, thin body and sweetness. Nice vanilla oak barrel offsets the modest tripel citrus. Bright and creamy sweet grapey Chardonnay goes supremely well with the vanilla oak and modest citrus. Light finish. Much more about the barrell than the base tripel and, that is fine and dandy by me.

Bottle shared. Clear deep golden. Sweet malts, marzipan, sweet berries, soft red wine, sage, berry yoghurt, vanilla, green twigs, alcohol, puke. Over medium sweet medium bitter, light sour. Full bodied. I don't like it.

Amber beer with a thin filmy head. Flavour has fruit along with distinct notes of both the wine and the barrel. Flsvour follows suit. Its boozy and slightly tart, with grape, wood, a little funk, some caramel, citrus and a some breadiness. A really interesting blend of flavours.
