To catch a bit of soft radiance in each bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malt blends with smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a distant shore of forgotten spice.

Bottle at the mondiale ’07.
aroma is very fruity with apples, and slight banana comming through. Flavour is fruity, with some peppery notes like a saison, and some caramel in the finish. Quite a complex beer, lots going on. Very very nice.

Bottle. Citric horse blanket aroma. Cloudy Amber, big lacing eggshell head. Medium light body, a bit fizzlesticks, leather and horse blanket, cherry, a hint wood, quick dry finish.

Bottle, from The Wine Source, Baltimore MD. Pours clear chestnut-brown with large foamy light beige head, acidic aroma, high carbonation, medium sour caramel malt taste with a hint of spices, smooth body, long sour finish. Not as complex in flavor, as I expected.

Bottle at the Kiselo Druženje (Sour Gettogether), 2017. Thanks! Murky golden, off-white head. Some sediment. Spicy, acidic, caramel candy. Light sourness, some woody dryness. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Not that impressed, but very good.

Bottle, 0.75l, shared with friends. Aroma of chestnut, spices, wood, yeast and fruit. Pours hazy amber brown color with thin quickly diminishing off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy with mild caramel note, follows by chestnut, spices, dark fruit and tannins, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Certainly a Jolly Pumpkin style brew...

Keg at BrewDog Lothian Road. Clear golden/amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of green apple and sherbet. Flavour of sour rhubarb, but it’s not unpleasant. Thin body with a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. This is not the ‘Amber Ale’ as advertised on the board...
