Tap at TCBW. Pours black. Aroma is malt, some black tea. Flavor is malt, bitterness, more black tea. Finish is black tea bitter. Overall: ok-ish.

Draft sample @ TCBW ’16. Brune foncée, col fin beige. Arôme au nez malté, grillé, léger torréfié de café accompagné d’un houblonné finement herbacé et noble. Palais est malté sur accompagnement houblonné citronné. Profil sur malt coriace sans être surfait et ajoutant des notes de grillé, toasté, caramel. Retrouve une légère note - la levure? - de sorte de choux chinois cuit des sushi avec un côté sous-bois. Malté reste présent avec une petite note d’épicéa-épine boisée.

Aroma has bread and licorice. Flavour is somewhat dry with licorice and gooseberry bush -like hops. Also minerals and woody dryness - this feels a little acidic too. Decent.

(Keg at Hilpeä Hauki, 20160302) The beer poured clear and black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, ash and fruitiness. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweetness, liquorice, fruitiness and bitternesss. Aftertaste was ashy and bitter. A hoppy burnt ale that was too messy.

Tap at Brewdog Helsinki, Helsinki. Colour is black with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Chocolate, some coffee, some hops and roasted malts. Surprisingly soft but needs hops.

Tap at Ravintola Kirjakauppa, Pori. Light toasted nose, grass and caramel. Light-bodied. Grass, ash, some harsh notes. A bit lame ashy caramel dark ale.

Tap@ lakeuden panimojuhlat, Seinäjoki. Near black, thick creamy off white head. Nice citrusy, caramel, toffee aroma. Flavor has citrusy notes, hint of asparagus, toasted malts. Light.
