Schramm’s Heritage Raspberry is a cousin to our standard Raspberry melomel, made exclusively with Heritage raspberries, the same variety used in Schramm’s The Heart of Darkness. Grown and loved by the Schramm family for generations, we were able to find a high-quality commercial source for these berries that took us back to picking them off the bushes in Grandpa Schramm’s backyard. We think this jammy, bright and extremely flavorful mead would make him proud.

375 ml in a trade by AdamChandler for the 31 May, COVID-19 virtual tasting. Flavor has tart raspberry, hint of blackberry, and mild lasting honey. Sugar sweetness but not in a bad way. Tart berry helps with the balance. Oily / slick texture. Real, real, good.

Shared bottle, many thanks. Brown color. Strong raspberries in aroma. Raspberries in taste, sweet, with light fruity sourness. Nice, tasty.

Poured a dark reddish color mead. Aroma of sweet raspberry notes is sublime. Taste is a good mix of raspberry juice with right amount of residual sugar offset by light tart raspberry notes. Body is full with oily texture. Solid mix of mead and raspberry and I wish this was available locally.
