A light golden beer with a big personality, bursting with fruity hop flavours, citrus notes and a refreshing finish.
First brewed as a seasonal special in 2004, this marvellously refreshing beer joined the Oakham core range in 2008.
Oakham’s brewing team have been visiting the USA hop fields for many years in search of the best quality hops. Inferno’s unique flavour comes from five carefully selected hop varieties from the Yakima Valley – Sterling, Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade and Chinook.

Bottle from a colleague and drunk at home. Slight haze pale gold colour lasting white head. Good citrus hoppy aroma. Full in the mouth. Good bitterness. Sherbet hop character like a lemon and lime sherbet fountain. Pretty good.

(Bottle) Clear pale golden with decent white head. Lovely aroma of lemon with floral notes. Medium body with soft carbonation. Nice lemony start, very little sweetness and some peppery notes develop leading to a reasonable hoppy bitter finish. Nice easy drinking beer.

Poured a clear light golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, grassy lemon lime citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a light, crisp, fresh, malt, grassy citrus fruit, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Classic Oakham.

Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Media City. Golden with a small head. Hoppy with a mild pale ale texture, with a very easy enough drinking texture. A few malts are evident, these perhaps most stated in its nose.

Clear, pale golden to yellow colored, medium- white frothy head, rather lasting. Aroma is of malt, some light biscuit, moderate fruity, citrus and herbal aroma. Taste is medium sweet malt and biscuit, medium hoppy fruity and citrus lemony, bit grassy aroma, moderate bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit oily. Nice and clean, more body than expected. (bottle, Pivoljub Ljubljana)
