So this Italian Pilsner thing. Quite a clickbait title for a dry hopped lager right? But the style is really rooted somewhere in there. Crispy and pale Pilsner with moderate bitterness, full of floral, citrus, black tea notes from the generously added Saphir and Hersbrucker hops.

Szóval olasz stílusú Pilsner. Elég kattintásvadász cím egy hidegkomlózott lagernek, nem? Pedig a stílus gyökereit tényleg errefelé kell keresni. Ropogós és világos Pilsner visszafogott keserűséggel, tele a bátran adagolt Saphir és Hersbrucker komlók virágos, citrusos, fekete teás aromáival.

Tap at CAJS. Clear golden pierced by very lively carbonation, very fluffy, lasting white head. Spicy, herbal aroma bit too spicy. Soft, minerally taste, lightly sweetish, some floral and herbal hoppiness, vaguely citric. Feels flat while it isn't. Huh. Pils it ain't.

Tap at Hopa. Deep, semi-clear golden pour, white head. Nose is hay, bread, big herbal and grassy notes. Taste is somewhat sweet with a touch of bitterness, hay, grass and herbal notes. Closes with a bittersweet finish, has a light carbonation (too low perhaps) and light body. Decent lager.

From tap at Hopaholic, Budapest, 10.07.24 after seeing Un Ballo in Maschera by Verdi at the opera. Very pale and clear straw colour. Some white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of grassy pilsner malt and slightly acid pilsner malt. OK. Quite herbal.

Draft at Only Good Beer. Poured a slightly unclear golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light herbal, yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, earthy, herbal, yeasty, light bready, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Keg at Hopaholic, Budapest, 10/06/23. Almost clear golden with a good sized white head. Nose is pale malts, straw, grains, lemon rind. Taste comprises pale malts, soapy twang, lemon rind, herb, straw, light bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok pils ... just let down a little by the light soapy notes.
