Bottled (Beerangel, BB 09/2009). Pale yellow color, small steady white head, some lace. Fresh grass hoppy and buttery nose. Grassy, fresh hayish hoppy flavor - even some piney notes. Reasonably malty. Aftertaste starts dry, then some honey sweetness. Enough flavors to keep drinker interested, although this is more or less a standard pils.

Bottled (from beerangel.de). Yellow colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is flowery hops as well as some grassy notes. Flavour is malts, sweet flowery hops as well as some lemongrass and grassyness. Aftertaste gets some earth and grassyness as companion to the flowery, even slightly fruity, notes. Also the lemongrass is there in the finsih too.

Bottle, 4.9%. Good, sweet malt aroma, hint of spicy hops. Clear golden colour, sparkling. Nice stable white head. The flavour is OK, though there is some grain. But also a hint of spciness from the the hops.

My label says Weltenburger Kloster Pils brewed by Eltenburg Gmbh Kelheim/Germany. Green 12 oz bottle. Pop the lid and there is a typical green bottle aroma of cabbage or veggies. Aroma carries over to the taste and then there is some needling pilner bite there too. Finish is lingering and quite offensive for a pilsner. A little too much for my lager loving taste buds.

Medium white fine-laced head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Soft earthy aroma with notes of light malts and apple. Dry earthy, resiny apple and malts taste with notes of dry straw. Very clean and fresh palate. Harmonic and balanced. Slightly harsh mouthfeel. Dry, chewy earthy hoppy aftertaste. A great pilsener. (0.5l bottle at Cardinal.)

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. Pale golden body and a white head that diminished rather quickly, but left lacings. Nice hoppy nose, quite fruity as well, with grains in the background. Pleasant fruity and hoppy flavor that didn’t leave too much bitterness. Some grains as well. The finish is short and slightly vague, and has some hops. A bit thin body. A pleasant and quaffable beer, but a bit anonymous. (070805)

Pour is a bright golden with a large white head. Aroma is sweet malts with some light floral hops. Flavor is crisp and clean with some tosted malts and a decent helping of pils hops. A decent pils to have on a warm day.
