Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury and drunk at home. Dark clear brown lasting tan head. Odd mix of black ipa and straight ipa. So it’s really hoppy. With some dark chocolate. It’s fine. Prefer the Axe Edge by itself though.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy chestnut body with a thin off-white head that quickly fades. Very faint lacing. Unusual aroma of coffee, grass and mango. Flavour of Turkish delight, tropical fruit and Earl Grey tea. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. A very nice beer, but (for me) it shows that Axe Edge and Black Rocks are better individually than blended.

Keg at the Euston Tap - London. Pours perfectly clear, dark gold with a slight, foamy white head. Lots of darkened, ripe citrus on the. Ose, grapefuit and orange, some melon. Medium sweet flavor with delicate pine, juicy ripe citrus fruits, some minerals, subtle toasted bread. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Very light warmth in the finish, plenty of resinous pine, some dry, lightly toasted malts, ripenorange, faint berries, hints of toasted grass. Great stuff.
