Bottle shared by Marcus. Dark malt aroma with dark fruits. Smells slightly cola. Light tan head, but minimal. Flavors of dark malt, coffee, darkish fruit and perhaps chocolate. Makes one think of barrel aged Scottish stout. Finishes smooth and malty bitter. Reminds of Paradox.

Draught at the Nakameguro Taproom. Pitch black with lace. Winey, deep chocolate aroma. Amazingly smooth, with solid sweetness but not cloying. Chocolate, smoke, and a bit of coffee in there, as well as something slightly port-like, and cherries or plums. Hoppier than usual, with a lemon tinge. Very powerful, fruity, and delicious.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small, quickly fading light brown head over a near black body with no real lace to speak of. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, roast, brown sugar, hop bitterness and raisins. Taste is roast, chocolate, licorice, and a decent amount of hop bitterness. Syrupy mouthfeel and light bubbles.
