[i] Bottle SH Jones Bicester, 29-09-07 [/i] Pours warm golden and makes me think of the end of summer for another year as I rode back from Bicester in shorts and sandals today determined to make the most of what started as a sunny day. Back to the beer, plenty of fruity hops on the nose and some sweet malts. Tasted quite fruity and hoppy but lacks the stunning fruity zingy summerness of the cask beer which is one of my favourite Hooky beers, some honeyness and bittersweet attributes rescue this a bit but ultimately whilst a nice bottled beer the cask is where its at with this one (couldn’t believe that I hadn’t rated this bottle or the Old Hooky before!)

bottle. Copper colour, persistent head. Hoppy nose with hints of citrus fruit. Perfectly balanced beer, which is malty and pleasantly hopped. I like the hops they use. Quite fruity with clear hints of orange zest and lemon.

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured with a medium-sized fluffy head: slowly collapsing, but still stable; citrousy-fruity nose with a tinge of molasses and a distinctive (presumably continental) hoppy aroma; moderate bitter lavour, light to medium bodied; malty, slightly sweetish finish with a very pleasant, lingering aromatic hoppiness. The right stuff..........

Bottle. Pale amber/copper coloured with a large white head. Aroma has yeast, malt, fruit and hops. Flavour is better than the aroma led to expect; a bit of yeast, fruity, malty with some nice hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Lightly hazed amber orange ale with a thin lacing off-white head. Doughy malt aroma, a bit yeasty, but hops are long gone. In mouth, pleasant sweet caramel malt, giving way to oxidized notes, a bit phenolic. Some nutty tones are there, and the body is medium. Bought at LCBO.

500ml bottle from Cask & Glass. Pale copper colour with lasting thin white head. Citricd hop with EKG fragrant aroma. Some tangerine fruit and pear drop later on. Ok in mouth. OK finish. Expected a bit more. Bit dusty. Could do with more body
