On tap at the brewpub. It pours an unclear dark brown body under a small, beige head. The aroma is quite spiced at first, chocolate, coffee notes and roasted malts chiming in. Some bitterness in the flavor, well balanced against the malty sweetness. Roasted malts, coffee and quite a lot of chocolate in the flavor. It’s full bodied and very smooth on the palate, finishing with lots of mocha notes. A pleasant one, but rather boring in a way. One glass was fine, but I didn’t fancy another one. 141126

Fra fat på Amundsens nov-14: svart, med beige filmskum. Aromatisk, god julekrydderblanding med litt mørk kaffe og røstet malt. God juleølsmak med tørr avslutning. Mykt karbonert. Fin bitterhet i den lange ettersmaken.
