Bottle 500ml @ Meta Hansens Hus, Lillesand
Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, biscuit, clove and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, chocolate and clove finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

500 ml bottle (mainly red label), Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy brown colour, large off-white head. Slightly sourish aroma with some decaying fruit, also Christmas spices, hints of wood. The flavour is slightly fruity and acidic, with pronounced woody notes, also moderate Christmas spices. Moderate hops in the finish.

500 ml bottle. Unclear amber body with a small tan head. Nice malt dominated aroma with mild caramel, dry fruit and spicy Belgium yeast. Surprisingly fresh in flavor, medium sweet malt, fruity, moderate spicy and decent bitterness. Fin balanced body, particular considering the 4,5% ABV with a decent aftertaste. As a Christmas beer alternative for the Norwegian grocery marked I think this is one of the best in the marked right now, not too spicy, could easily match most kind of food and I like the Belgium touch as a good alternative for the most common caramel malt versions.

Bottle. A lightly hazy brown beer topped by a dense, small, beige head. There’s cloves in the aroma, at a decent level, with caramel, bread and a touch of diacetyl. Is medium to full bodied with a decent carbonation level. Cloves, caramel, some nuts and bread in the flavor. Quite balanced, but also rather boring unfortunately. Not my preferred Christmas beer, but sure drinkable. 151107
