750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.8%. Dark amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Moderate aroma, notes of malts, grain, dust and berries. Reasonably malty flavour, but not very sweet. "English" character. Hints of caramel and aquavit barrel. Very drinkable.

Sampled at Gunnfryds Barmy Army New Year’s ticker party 2017. Reddish dark golden body with a small, tan head. Mild aroma with malt and some caramel. Flavor is also malty with a hint of wood, some caramel and not very bitter. Medium body and aftertaste. A rather unbalanced and messy beer, if I really but my good will on I might detect a hint of aquavit, but it doesn’t do anything with this beer anyway.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear, amber colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is caramel dominated, with some nutty notes and a faint touch of the booze. Spiced hints. It’s medium bodied, lightly warming and very low on carbonation. Lightly aquavit-ish flavor with caramel, bread and some nutty notes. Long finish with hints of wet cardboard. Not a favorite of mine. 170107
