Sample from 25 cl bottle. Deep golden colour with a thin white ring around the edges of the glass. Sweet aroma with herbal honey notes, juniper berries. Taste is herbal sweet. Full body with an oliy texture and a flat carbonation. Finishes sweet with herbal honey notes. Ok.

Bottle, at HaandFest. A clear, dark golden colored mead, almost flat, and quite oily. Honey, spices, juniper hints, some heather, sweet gale perhaps, and orange in the aroma. The flavor has a good dash of alcohol, with honey running the show. The same spiced, heathery and juniper-ish elements are present in the flavor, so is the orange. It's full-bodied, warming and oily on the palate, with a lasting finish. A superb mead to enjoy in a comfortable chair, or by the campfire. 170527

Bottle. Pours hazy orange, with a few small bubbles. Aroma is almost like a nice, sweet barley wine, with heather and some hot alcohol notes, as well as honey with herbs and floral notes, and foresty notes with juniper. Medium to full body, with no carbonation. Flavour is sweet honey, with some heathery herbal notes and light forest in the back.
