Bottle from Gulating Brennåsen. Hazy, deep golden body with a fine tan head. Aroma has malt, some caramel, peach, citric fruit and oranges. Flavor is sweet malty, light caramel, citric fruit, ripe fruit, oranges and decent bitterness. Balanced body and long lasting aftertaste with malt, citric fruit and bitterness. Might be a bit modest to name this an APA, but then again it’s a pretty thin line between that and Session IPA. It’s a pretty solid hoppy not so pale ale with a good malt base.

Bottle. An unclear amber colored beer with a dense, two-finger off-white to beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has a background of bready, caramel malts, with piney, resiny hops. It’s medium to full bodied, nicely carbonated and neither dry nor sweet. Bready malts, piney and citrusy hops and grapefruit in the flavor. Long finish with a wee metallic hint. Well, the hops are nice, but it’s too much of the colored malts in this one. 170516

Hazy deep golden color with a fine white head. Looks great. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Citric, pine and fruity flavor. Nice fresh, tasty and easy drinkable beer.
