Cherry and mead = love. This combination worked really nice together. Lovely red color. Good aroma, and not sticky sweet. Nice balanced cherry, mead and almonds in the flavor. Dangerously well masked alcohol.

Pours hazy deep red with a few pink bubbles. Aroma has notes of sweet and sour cherries, almonds and honey. Taste is medium sweet with a long cherry, mild honey and almond nutty finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. Very nice cherry flavor and very easy to drink

On tap @ Bakgården Både &, Kristiansand. Unclear Deep reddish to amber body with a small but dense, pale pink head. Aroma feels like sweet dessert cherries (the one from mon cheri chocolate) with just a faint hint of honey. Flavor is very sweet, cherries, some marzipan, honey and just a little berries type acidity. Full bodied with a tickling type of carbonation and long lasting aftertaste of sweet cherries. Very nice in smaller proportions but not possible to drink much of this. And I don’t think that’s the intention either.

On tap at Både&. A deep ruby red mead with a dense, two-finger pinkish white head. There’s lots of berries on the nose, it feels lightly sweetish, with honey and hints of almond. Mostly berry flavor too, on a bacdrop of semi-sweet honey. Some notes of damp forest and almond, the almond coming towards the finish. There’s also a touch of something more reminiscent of blueberry or blackberry than cherry. It’s medium sweet and full to medium bodied, with a pleasant carbonation level. Perhaps a tad on the sweet side for a berry mead, but it drinks easily and sure tastes nice. Prefer the blueberry mead though. 170429

Fra fat på Mi2 Cardinal april-17: klar og vakker rødlig rav, ok skum. Noe urteaktig aroma (pors?) sammen med kirsebær, honning og marsipan. Deilig, dessertpreget smak, minner om hjemmelaget kirsebærsyltetøy med noen kirsebærsteiner. Allikevvel blir det ikke for søtt, syrligheten fra bærene balanserer det hele påp en utmerket måte. En super mjød.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 10,04.17. Deep ruby. White head. Aroma of honey and marzipan. Superb and complex taste and aftertaste of dark honey, cherries, marzipan, nuts and brittle.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pours red with a slight carbonation and a thin white head. Dryish aroma of cherries and cherry kernels, also some honey, but less pronounced than expected. A discrete carbonation in the mouth. Moderately sweet and fruity flavour with notes of cherries and honey.
