Purple color with no head. Fine intensity in the aroma with some blueberry notes. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Sweet without being cloying. Fruity, mild honey and blueberry in the flavor. Nice easy drinkable mead. Hoped for some more blueberry in the flavor.

On tap @ Både &. Hazy purple body with a small white head. Aroma is very nice and fruity dominated by blueberries with the honey in the background. The aroma itself indicates that this may be a sweet and acidic flavor and I’m excited to figure out if this will be in balance. First sip and a big wow – sweet with a solid body and still acidic fruity with blueberries to make it in balance and dangerous easy drinkable. Not very sour at all, but just enough to balance the sweetness, almost just dry but still some honey sweetness. This is my first mead by Mjøderiet and it impressed me a lot with its originality. Totally different from the classic strong, sweet polish mead from Apis as I also like a lot. Not to be compared, but the main different is that this is a kind of mead I easily could have a few glasses of instead of just sipping a small glass. Looking forward to try some more.

Bakgaarden Både & 290417. .Red color with a white head. Aroma is blueberies, sugar, honey. -flavor is pleasant and with some blueberries, hint of honey, sugar, spices. Thin body. Well made mead for the Grocery market.

On tap at Bakgården Både&. An unclear, red mead with a minimal sized white head. Lots of blueberry on the nose, with honey underneath. Some grassy hints as well. It’s sweet, but not in a sticky way, full to medium bodied and with a soft and smooth carbonation. Some spiced, herbal forest-ish hints in the flavor, but as for the aroma, it’s blueberry that runs the show, with honey just a supporting flavor. A pleasant and easy drinkable mead I sure gonna have again. 170429

Bottle. Pours unclear red, with almost no head. Aroma is earthy, with honey, heather and blueberries. Thin body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is is sweet, with berries and fruit. Not far from a somewhat earthy, and slightly fermented fruit juice. I’d rather have the unfermented Lerum version, to be honest.

Small slightly bubbly shortlasting head, nice hazy reddish color. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, honey, sour grass, minerals, berry skin, sweet blueberry juice, red berries. Taste is slightly sweet fruity, honey, grass, sweet blueberry juice, minerals, crowberries, heather. Litght and fruity mouthfeel. Nice enough, very easy drinking.

2-4-6-3-7=2,2>br> Nice pink fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, hazy deep reddish color. Aroma is strange sour-ish, sulfur, minerals, silo concentrate, rotten fruits, unripe berries, sorrel, hints of honey far back. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish grassy, wet hay, minerals, sorrel, sour dark berries, grass, heather, watery blueberry juice, berry skin, paper, hints of honey far back. Slightly watery sour-ish grassy mouthfeel. Even though it’s not supposed to be like this, it’s a solid meh!

Not all, but most of the sulfur, is gone. Apart from that, it’s pretty much the same as the first time, with the same strange sourness in the aroma. Just doesn’t work for me. (Maybe with a clip on my nose...)
