Våre forfedre som drev gården vår i gamle dager ble ikke bare kjent for den gode og unike kålen sin. Nepene deres ble så populære at det ble til slutt skrevet en sang om dem, nemlig «Dei Jaatun og næba»! Dette brygget har vi selvsagt laget med nepe fra gården vår, hvor vi hedrer våre forfedre som en gang bygde gården vi bor på i dag.«Og folk i frå Jåttå, dei seier nå så; Det beste me veit, det er neba». Norsk malt, humle fra eget drivhus, og gjæret med kveik.

Hazy yellow pour with a big white head The head do unfortunately vanish a bit to fast Aroma….hmmm….turnip Unfortunately way to heavy carbonation level Semi dry ending Pale malt, herbal and…..turnip in the flavor Rare, but not bad. Just a to high carbonation level [Bottle from Mr Bryne]

Solsletta 200719. Golden-yellow color with a white head. Aroma is wheat, turnip, kveik. Flavor is wheat, turnip, kveik, yeast, pine, citrus, , fruit. Weird beer.

Sample from bottle @ Bergen Ølfestival. Pours hazy yellow, with a tiny, rocky head. Aroma is yeast and earthy notes of hay, as well as malts with cereals and minerals. Creamy body, with average carbonation. Flavour is earthy yeast, with vegetables, hay and minerals, as well as malts with cereals and toffee.

Bottle, courtesy of gunnfryd. It's a hazy yellow-golden beer with a small fizzy white head soon gone. The aroma has a distinct vegetal and earthy turnip touch, with a fruityness up front. It's rather thin on the palate, effervescent and dry, with a light sour hint. Earthy and vegetal turnip flavor too, with a light piney, citrusy fruityness. Lingering fruity finish with some turnip. Rather weird and not very good either. 190720

Growler shared with OE, NH and EMJ at Norleif´s place 27.02.19. Cloudy straw colour. Diminshing white head. Fruity aroma and taste of citrus, boiled vegetables and sorrel. Interesting, but it won´t be my new session ale.

Fra growler (Gulating Stavanger), hjemme: uklar korngul med fint skum som varer. Lett syrlig aroma med lys malt, urter og noe jeg antar er nepene og kveiken. Frisk og elegant smak hvor spiseneper (hvite) er tydelig og behagelig til stede sammen med krydderurter og litt citrus. Ettersmaken likeså, og den har i tillegg en solid dose mersmak som gjør at glasset raskt må fylles igjen. Nok en original og velsmakende øl fra entusiastene på Jåttå - jeg heier på dere! Dere er virkelig inne på et godt og viktig spor hvor lokale råvarer får sitte i førersetet.
