330 ml bottle, as Skudenes Chief Wee Heavy (modnet på skotsk whiskyfat), from Vinmonopolet Kopervik. ABV is 9.3%. Mahogany colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of peated malts, iodine, alcohol and Scotch whisky. Fairly sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma. Minimal hops. Not my cup of tea.

On tap, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2017. A clear pale amber colored beer with an off-white head of moderate size. Some lacing. The aroma has lots of peat, with caramel, dried fruits, dark sugar, some roasted malts and alcohol. It's full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, nicely carbonated and rather sweet, with a touch of bitterness. Peat, alcohol, some booze and roasted malts, caramel, dark sugar, dried fruits and a touch of dark bread. Lots of ashtray and peat in the finish. I normally shy away from peated beers, but this one's really fine, especially the aroma. 171021

Helheten blir for endimensjonal, savner noe humlefriskhet. Men effektiv, det er den!

Bottle, shared with Inbreak, five years before bbd. Pours clear maroon, with an off white, creamy head. Aroma is peat, chocolate and wooden barrels, as well as some notes of tar and liquorice. Medium body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is peat and sweet malty notes with leather, molasses and wooden barrels.

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish peated, oak, peat, minerals, bark, grass, hay, weeds, ashes, leather, alcohol, fruit stones, butterscotch, soil. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, alcohol, oak, ashes, peat, paper, bark, soil, grass, leather, minerals. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish peated mouthfeel. Fair enough, not really my cup of coffee.
