Et middels kraftig øl. Oppskriften kom ved en tilfeldighet ved at Ellen og Kjetil skulle brygge IPA i starten på vår bryggerivirksomhet. Men vi hadde ikke de ingrediensene en IPA bør ha, derfor ble dette en avart. Ølet har god fylde og restsødme, i tillegg bruker vi honning i oppskriften. Passer godt til viltkjøtt og vi synes den er god til lam. Passer også godt i marinader og oppskrifter.

Solsletta 071018. Deep golden color with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus, apple, bread, hop, malt. Flavor is citrus, apple, bread, hop, malt, grapefruit, caramel, herbs. Ordinary beer.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops. Fairly well hopped flavour. Decent beer.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Askje 13.10.18. Cloudy pale straw colour. Foamy off-white head. Fruity and inviting aroma of lychee, meadow, citrus and pilsner malt. Similar taste. Over-carbonated.

Fra flaske på RBHD-samling hos Asle Bjørn, okt-18: klar gylden med flott skum som varer. Duft og smak av rognebær, gule epler, karameller, honning og sommereng. Mild og fin bitterhet i avslutningen.

Bottle. It pours a clear deep golden, almost amber, colored body under a finger-thick off-white head. Some lacing. The aroma is mostly citrusy, lime peel and grapefruit, with hints of fluor toothpaste and chalk. Some bread and caramel in the back. The honey isn't leaving much footprint in the aroma, but there's some in the flavor, along with bread, caramel, herbal hints that might be from the honey or just as well the hops, with some bitterness and citrus. It's medium bodied, dry and nicely carbonated. Long herbal finish. Well, there's nothing special going on here, and I'm not sure if the honey is a succesful addition. 181007

Unusual and nice beer.
Unclear amber color with a fine off white head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a bit to rich carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Caramel, honey, fruity and herbal flavor.
