Ashanti is the little sister of our 2022 Zwanze, Lambic with Gorilla pepper.
Same recipe, same pepper, but slightly more focused on the Lambic side compared to the first blend.
The spicy, fruity, and obviously peppery side is still very present and harmonizes superbly with the natural power of our Lambic.
The name of the beer comes from the inhabitants of the neighboring land, the Ashanti Kingdom, who were famous traders of this pepper.
This pepper is available to purchase at Sandrine’s store, Misao La Maison des Poivres, in Brussels. She also collected the pepper left over in the tanks after macerations and then dried it. This Lambic-infused version is also available to purchase at Misao.

Один из реально уникальных ламбиков. Сразу в аромате есть черный молотый перец. Очень душисто. Во вкусе снова перец но что удивляет так это то что он не перчит на языке, вообще нет остроты а только его вкус, что дико радует. Удивительно но пиво может отдавать мыльцом, что странно но есть.

Amber, no head, that pepper is bright, the base is leathery, bretty and complex. There’s a bit of sweetness, good pepper, lots of fruity accents, stone fruit. Good complexity. Excellent. Refreshing. Really liking this. One of my favourite cantillons. The aim to be better balanced serves it well.

Tons of pepper, some funk. More funk in taste with a lot of pepper of course. Works well together. Good one.

Golden colour with no head.heavy aroma of pepper also taste of pepper and barnyard nice perhaps a bit to much even from a great brewery but the taste kills it a bit.
