Thanxxx Hunsfoss for an real ipa. I am really tired of all the hop lemonade stuff Clear deep golden pour and a fine head Good intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and bitterness Also a fine carbonation level. 0,33 flaske på Pieder Ro i Kristiansand: uklar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer helt ned. Appelsinmarmelade, aprikos, einer og furunål. Lekker, og den lange, saftige ettersmaken inneholdt et betydelig innslag av mersmak.

330 ml bottle, batch #191, from Heinemann Taxfree, Stavanger Airport Sola. ABV is 6%. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Very yeasty aroma, also notes of malts, grain and stale marmalade. The flavour is also yeasty, but not quite as bad as the aroma. Some citrus, very moderate bitterness. Why on earth did Heinemann stock this mediocre beer, when there are so many other and better Norwegian IPAs on the market, from better breweries?

Bottle. It's an almost clear one, golden in color, with a nice white head. Some lacing. The aroma has pine cones, resin, licorice-ish hints, a touch of DMS and a good dash of grass. Some pale malts in the back, with a hint of caramel malts. It's medium bodied, softly carbonated and quite dry on the palate, with a good bitterness. Resin, pine cones, grass, pale malts and some DMS and caramel notes in the flavor. Nothing special going on here, and a bit heavy on the DMS. 210523

Bottle. Clear golden body under a white head. Aroma has mild pale malt and light citric fruit. Taste is mild and refreshing with pale malt, smooth citric fruit and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. It’s a decent straight forward classic old school IPA. No nonsense and nothing revolutionary going on.
