Pours dark brown/black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, licorice, banana and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long licorice and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

KYGGK 020521. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, citrus. Flavor is roasted malt, milk sugar, cocoa, coffee, berries, chocolate, oat. Nice/OK beer.

Bottle. A lightly hazy dark brown beer with a minimal sized dark beige head. The aroma is quite citrusy sourish, with burnt malts, toffee and dark chocolate. It's full-bodied, smooth and acidic, semi-dry, with some lactose-like notes. Burnt malts, toffee, some acidity and cocoa in the flavor. Hints of dark dried fruits. Lasting finish. A bit intense and rough this one. Not a beer I'd repeat. 210502

330 ml bottle, as Skudenes Juleøl Stout, #1286, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 8.0%. Black colour, moderate to small tan head. Aroma of roast malts, mild coffee and chocolate / cocoa, a hint of blackberries. Moderate carbonation. The flavour is slightly on the dry side, with the same elements as the aroma.

0,33 flaske fra VP Kvadrat, hjemme: brunsvart med kort skum. Aroma og smak av kaffe med kakao i en fin, mørk maltbase. Hint av bjørnebær i avslutningen. Underkarbonert, så der er ingen spenst i smaken. Dermed mangler det lille som kunne gjort dette til en riktig så nytbar og smaksrik juleøl.
