Bottle. Close to black body under a small beige head. Aroma has dark malt, oak and Cognac. Taste is sweet dark malt, mild wood, hint of vegetables and boozy Cognac. Fine body and same aftertaste. Not a very elegant sample of an oaked barrel stout.

Bottle. A black one, close to, with almost no head. Vinous, almost boozy aroma with roasted malts, charcoal, burnt down bonfire and some vinous grape notes. It’s full to medium bodied, quite dry and lightly warming with almost no carbonation. Booze, roasted malts, charcoal and grape notes in the flavor. Some vegetal notes. Lasting finish. A weird one, actually not very good. 210205

375 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Black colour, small but lasting tan head. Distinct aroma of roast malts, molasses, oak, cognac and Pineau des Charentes. The vinous flavour is not as sweet as expected, but has otherwise the same elements as the aroma, also notes of raisins, mild coffee and chocolate.
