Nice tasty stout at this alcohol level More or less complete black pour and a big tan head Ok intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and an ok bitterness. Tad to rich carbonation level. But it worked fine after a little nap. Dark malty, brown sugar, mild lactose and some roast in the flavor. [Bottle from a trade with Yngwie]

330 ml bottle, batch #322, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.6%, IBU 36. Black colour, huge tan head, takes \"forever\" to settle. Aroma of moderately roasted malts, oatmeal and vanilla, hints of mild coffee and chocolate. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, more distinct coffee notes, some lactose but not too sweet. Moderate bittering hops in the finish.

Bottle. It's a dark brown beer with a finger-thick tan head that lasts. The aroma is of the malty kind, roasted tending towards burnt, almost bonfire-ish in a way, with coffee, dark chocolate, oatmeal biscuits, caramel and a subtle vanilla scent. The aroma also have indications of lactose being used. It's medium to full-bodied, yet sort of light on the palate, sweet but not sticky and with a very smooth carbonation. It's more on the bitter side than normal for milk stouts, and along with a not too heavy vanilla flavor it makes it more drinkable and feel less sticky than expected. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, oatmeal biscuits and quite a lot of caramel too in the flavor. Lasting finish with a both dryish and lightly sticky feeling. Sure a pleasant grocery store strength milk stout, a beer that I'll need to get a few more of. 201126

Bottle from Meny. Dark brown, close to black body under a big, dense, long lasting beige head. Aroma has mild roasted, dark malt, milk chocolate and hint of vanilla. Not strong in aroma, but nice if you give it some time to open up. Taste is sweetish dark malt, chocolate, hint of vanilla and balancing bitterness. Fine body for a low alcohol strength beer, same aftertaste as the rest. A decent milk stout, correct to style regarding alcohol strength, still I feel this would have gained a bit with more alcohol and some more complexity, nice and tasty but ends up a bit one dimensional after a while. Might be very nice with some vanilla ice floaters.
