Svart med beige skum. Lukter sjokolade, mørke stenfrukter og kaffe. Mye kullsyre. Så jo lenger ned i glasset jo mykere i munnfølelse. Smaker røstet malt, fat mørke stenfrukter, karamell og kaffe.

330ml bottle, 2024 vintage, 10.2 % abv., bought at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Jet black in the glass, fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Nicely roasted chocolate aromas, mid-dry. Tasty with caramel-chocolate impacts added by dark fruits, carefully supported by a touch of aquavit. Roasted finish, oaky, with warmth from the alcohol. Sipper qualities with a nice Yuletide feel. (Shared with Frau Eva at a hotel room in Oslo, 25.11.2024).

Bottle @ home. Clear, dark brown body under a big, beige head. Aroma has malt, coffee, leather and hint of aquavit. Taste is medium sweet dark malt, coffee, some bitterness, wood, rather boozy, aquavit. Body feels a bit thin considering the high ABV that needs some more body and aftertaste is boozy. Quite nice but not top class, a bit out of balance.
