Draught @ Brygghuset
Pours hazy deep reddish brown/black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, burnt popcorn and ash finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear looking dark brown beer with a nice creamy beige head. The aroma is quite burnt, with toast, licorice notes, some molasses and bread crust. Some dark dried fruits. It's smooth and full bodied, lightly warming and sweet, with burnt malt, toast, bonfire hints and some prunes. In the finish the burnt malts reminds me of burnt popcorn. Weird. Some nice things going on here, but it's too messy overall. 220115

Dark brown, almost black body under a small, lacing tan head. Nice aroma of roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. Taste is medium sweet, dark roasted malt, biscuit, dark chocolate and coffee. Balanced bitterness. A nice classic porter, more than less the definition of what an ordinary porter is all about. No to see them any now and then.
