500 ml bottle, as Nua Hveteøl Chili & Passion, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy and very pale straw colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, passionfruit and a hint of chili, also hints of banana and cloves. Fizzy mouthfeel. Flavour of wheat and citrus, hints of passionfruit, banana and cloves, ending in a moderate chili burn.

Bottle. As Hveteøl Chili & Passion. It's an almost clear one, pale yellowis golden in color, with a small white head. The aroma has lots of passionfruit, some orange and a generic tropical fruityness. Pineapple, grapefruit and pine cone hints. Red chilis too. It's lightly chili-burning on the palate, medium bodied and quite dry, with a decent carbonation level. The flavor too is driven by passionfruit, like in the aroma with orange zest, pineappel, pine cones and chili. The malts are pushed to the far back. Lasting finish. Guess many people will find the chili too pushing, but I like it. And it blends nicely with the fruit. Not a superb beer, but sure quenching and tasteful. Pity it's at 4.5% only. Think I'll have more of this. 211218

Mild nice easy drinkable beer Clear golden pour with a fine head. Ok lacing Decent intensity in the aroma Mellow fine sweetness and a fine carbonation level Quite dominant chili flavor in this one. Not to strong. Also round fine malty and the typical herbal/grassy chili touch in the flavor Not much passion fruit...... [Bottle from Stian]

Bottle from Gulating. Clear (at lest until the last pour) straw yellow body with a small white head. Except for the head, this looks exactly like white vine in the glass. Aroma is very weak, just a faint hint of something fruity without able to recognize anything specific. Tate starts very light and subtly but gives a hint of something going on. The first real flavor for me was a slow, easy chili burn somewhere back in the aftertaste. This quite pleasant kind of chili burn that wants me to have another sip and then some passion fruit reveals at my taste buds and seems to open up for some more flavor. Everything feels quite subtly but there is some soft pale malt, hint of wheat and traces of citric fruity hops as well. This is strange as chili flavor in a beer usually seems to hide other flavors (at least the weakest one), but in case it seems like the chili becomes a flavor enhancer. Ok, this is not beer with strong and obviously flavors and its neither a burning hot sensation with chili, but it fascinates me a lot and I just had to buy me another bottle as soon as I had sampled this from a beer tasting. Probably nothing to impress your beer buddies with, but I will strongly recommend to give it another chance, just try to taste it alone and not as sample number eight at beer party.
