On tap at Les 3 Brasseurs Mondeville. Poured a clear amber color, topped with a small white head. Mild roasty aroma with decent presence of caramel. Roasty taste which proves quite strong later on. Sweet with quite some coffee notes and a bit metallic aftertaste. Too much coffee presence.

From tap at Les 3 Brasseurs Lille 14.02.15. Pale copper. Diminishing off-white head. Not much aroma. Refreshing taste, with brittle, malt, berries and a hint of liquorice. Moderate bitterness in aftertaste.

Waiting on a train in Lille I tried 4 tasters. Clear amber color. Dense, light beige head. Aroma’s: caramel malts, some red fruit. Retronasal it’s sweet malts, (red) fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, malty. Light to medium bodied. Finish is slightly dry, light bitter. Like everything I tried here not spectacular, but decent.

On tap at The 3 Brewers bar in Toronto. Bronze with a ring of cream head; malty aroma; soft caramel taste; with a moreish malty finish. A rather one-dimensional amber ale.

Light brown colour. Aroma is a little floral. Flavour has some caramel sweetness but otherwise is thin and watery. Has a non distinct bitterness in the finish.

On tap in the Ottawa brewpub, $4/pint on Tuesdays. Pours a clean deep amber with not much lacing, nor head. Fruity amber malt nose with a little sweetness. The taste also has fruity amber malt with some yeast in the finish. Not much hop compared to their Sugar Shack (also tried tonight, based on their amber). An easy-drinking amber beer with some decent amber malts and yeast.
