Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 18/05/24. Pitch black with a khaki head that clears to the edge. Nose is chocolate pot, toffee, brown sugar melt, light bourbon nip, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate, nutty, vanilla, brown sugars, mellow roast, spice, bourbon kiss, toffee fudge. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced spike of alcohol. Tidy drop.

Can. A headless black beer, oily pour. Chocolate, oak notes, alcohol, caramel, some soy and licorice and a touch of brown sugar and vanilla/lactose. It's full-bodied, sweet and lightly warming, softly carbonated and with a very gentle bitterness. Dark chocolate, vanilla, booze, oak, caramel sauce and brown sugar in the flavor. Some lactose sweetness. Lasting sweet finish. Not too sweet this one, although it su509re is. And not too artificial. A decent one. 240

440ml can as part of a delivery from Brew York a few months back. Drunk at home. Very dark brown and opaque with the tiniest ring of brown head. Sweetness of vanilla on the nose, some creamy milk chocolate. Taste is really giving me the bourbon sourness without overwhelming. More chocolate, some yeast extract, caramel on the finish. Oily body, low carbonation.intense and complex.

Can. Opaque dark black brown beer, good bubbly dark tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Luxuriant dark malts, a lovely dark chocolate streak, Lindt like in it's sweetness and accessibility. Abundant chocolate cake and, a touch of vanilla buttercream. Toffee is rich and tasty. Cheesecake? Don't push it Amundsen. You can have cheesecake or vanilla buttercream, not both. The bourbon barrel adds a lovely rich ripe fruity goodness. A big rich old pasty here, the fact that you can actually taste the BBA for an Amundsen bree, and how rich it is, is just a unusually barrell forward and rich pasty delight.
