Pours unclear blonde. No real head. Scent is funky, hobey like , brett. Taste is sharp, brett-heavy, quite acetic, medium acidic. Full brettyness. Very AmLam like, not close to geuze. Decent, but not in the geuze category.

Well stores bottle consumed January 2025 @ home. Clear, deep golden body apart from sedimentation from the bottom under a small, fast disappearing white head. Aroma is citric fruity with acidic berries, wood, funk and lemon. A faint hint of acetone is also detected, but not enough to give a bad total impression. The taste is slightly vinous, fruity, acidic, wood, funk and some sour plums. Quite acidic as expected but also rather balanced in taste, balanced in body and a fine long lasting refreshing aftertaste. This was drunk as an accompaniment to various varieties of oysters and was a perfect match in this context. A very nice geuze style beer considered not made in Pajottenland, more in balance than very often experienced American made coolship versions. But as learned from the previous versions of Mirage it should always be stored for about one year to settle the right balance and give the optimal experience.

Bottle, 75cl. A mostly clear dark golden colored beer with more or less no bubbles on top. The aroma has a good dash of berries, in a quite generic way, with some gooseberry sticking out. Apricot, orange and grapefruit zest and a touch of grains too. Oak, funk and vinegar. It's quite dry on the palate, softly carbonated, with a vinegary sourness. Apricot, gooseberry, grass and melon hints, some grains and oak and a good dash of vinegar. Lightly vinous too, with notes of leather, tobacco and horse sweat. Lasting puckering finish. Sure, it's nice, but I find it too vinegary, and that removes much of the drinkability for me. 231031
