We first brewed this to commemorate 100 years since Wallace Hartley’s band played their last waltz on board the sinking Titanic. It soon became a regular in our range of beers owing to its complex yet easy drinking and moreish nature.

from cask at Platform Tavern and from can. black with a foamy sticky head. Aroma of laurel, hops, malt, licorice. Taste toasted and roasted malts, chocolate, cacao, powdery, lovely chilled, very slightly acidic, cripsy, malty, soft medium sweetness, medium bitterness, licorice, oily textyure, slight nuts, lovely beer to enjoy.

Can at Platform Tavern, Southampton. Dark opaque color, good creamy beige head, lace. Aroma has toasted maltyness and citrusy hops. Light-bodied. Licorice and citrus, toasted malts. Decent CDA. Feels even more robust than 4.3%.

Cask @ GBBF 2015. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty peachy hoppy aroma. Slightly roasted malty peachy hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus finish with hints of caramel.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2015, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Dancing Man Last Waltz ].Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white - beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, pine, grapefruit, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours deep ruby - brown with minimal beige head. The nose is soft, toasty, grainy, creamy roast, espresso coffee and light fruity notes. The taste is bitter, rich roast, light caramel, toasty, pepper, citrus, red fruit and cocoa with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Basic pseudo-CDA.

Cask at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear, deep reddish-brown with a bubbly tan head. The nose holds earth, toasted grains and mellow roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with burnt toast, light cocoa, earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Lightly resinous on the finish, with nips of pine and cocoa. Good one.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear dark amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Tangy dark fruits and tangy dried fruits - quite lively. Little floralness. Light semi dry finish. Decent beer but a tame CDA.

Cask at GBBF ’15, 11/08/15. Light black with a big old frothy faded tan cap. Nose is earthy hop, cocoa powder, toffee, light charr, red berry pangs, biscuit. Taste comprises light roast, earthy red berry, trace of pine, cocoa rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok CDA.
