This Dunkel Lager is brewed with 100% Munich malt, like the original Dunkels from Munich. After a long, cool fermentation and almost two months of lagering, the end result is an attractive copper coloured lager, with deep, rich maltiness and biscuity, slightly toasted notes.

330ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester, and drunk at home. Copper brown, clear with a ring of off-white head. Toffee, caramel, some milk chocolate, suggestions of stone fruit in the aroma. The sweet taste is almost immediately balanced by modest earthy hop. Dusty chocolate malt and cola nut in the aftertaste. Heavy carbonation. It's a pretty good dunkel.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer. Pours clear caramel-brown with a modest, foamy khaki head. Very drinkable stuff, some nice toasted biscuits, a little toffee and caramel, brown bread, perhaps yeast, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, brown bread, toasted caramel. Super tasty.
