This Red IPA was brewed in collaboration with our friends and long time supporters at Ghost Whale - a pair of award winning craft beer stores in London. Dry hopped heavily with enigma and plenty of simcoe on the hot side, this Red IPA has loads of fresh forest pine aromas and deep red berry notes that pair perfectly in a good red ale.

Rocky off white head left a froth on a copper coloured still body. Berries, conifer, spiced & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with an almost chewy fuller sticky back. Blackcurrant, red berry, pine, caramel & malt tastes with a syrup-like finish. Tasty but hard going.

Can at home picked up from the brewery. A clear deep reddy amber coloured pour with a lasting beige cap. Aroma is stick piney sap, bark, burnt grass, toffee biscuit, singed pine. brown sugars. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, pine tar, brown sugars, sticky pine, resinous pine. Palate is sticky resinous, moderate carbonation. Lingering pine and tobacco.

500ml can. Crystal clear amber, beige head. Aroma is earthy, caramel, some light piney and citrusy orange hops. Taste is earthy, caramel, piney and herbal, berries, orange. Those hops feel a little subdued so to me it's maybe more of a standard red ale than a red IPA to be honest. Nice enough though.

Can from Beer Cave. Appearance - amber to copper. Foamy, beige head. Nose - spice, earthy and dried red and dark fruits. A wee bit challenging. Taste - peppery, bitter red fruits, again quite dirty earthy. Palate - medium bodied, chewy middle and a sweet and claggy finish. Overall - it has complexity but it's a tough one to take on, this one!
