Bottle split at the Black Iris taproom, Notts get together, 07/07/23. Black with a good sized tan head. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, molasses, hint of raspberry, mellow bourbon oak. Taste comprises dark chocolate, roasted bite, spice, charr, toffee, dried red berries, whisky kick. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming hit of alcohol. Decent if no wow.

Bottle share at the taproom with the RB Nottingham trip. Very dark brown, opaque with a beige head. Lovely aroma but it's hard to get past the bourbon. Taste is a revelation: sweet with the Heavens Hill adding just a lively accent to the chocolate and molasses notes. Just a slight bitterness to the fi ish. Brilliant beer.

On tap at The Low Key Ashford. Black beer lasting tan head. Raspberry comes through, dark chocolate flavour. Some heat on the finish. Not a huge amount of barrel. Works quite well together. Light heat. Decent
