Panda thanks to Cloin. Pretty much opaque is this dark brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head lasts no time at all. Smooth palate, a slight viscosity, semi dry, late emerging decent fine minerally carbonation. Rich dark chocolate malts, virtually no sweetness, pretty much on a taste par with earthy and slightly bitterish coffee. The small amounts of coconut and vanilla provide a little relief at the end but, this is a not a beer for pastry lovers. Some alcohol spice on the semi dry finish.

Bottle at home, from Cat In A Glass online, 16/12/24. West Yorkshire rake #1,000 for this Bois. Pitch black topped with a khaki head that thins to a swirl. Nose is roast malts, herb, spice, charr, coffee grinds, cacao nobs, mellow barrel strokes. Taste comprises chocolate, spice, roast malts, liquorice, chocolate, mellow bourbon, toffee, trace of coconut fudge. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent enough sipper but muddles about between 3rd and 4th gear a little too much for a BA impy.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, dark malts. Taste of coffee, roast malts, chocolate, vanilla, boozy warmth, bitter finish. Medium bodied. No obvious bourbon or barrel notes to speak of. It's decent.

Thin brown head on a dark brown body. Coffee, malt & vanilla aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth creamy & soft with a clean back. Coffee, bourbon, vanilla & coconut tastes with a bitter finish. Classy.
