12 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany, no head. Aroma is full of oxidation, dusty red wine barrels, cardboard, and booze. Flavour is ridiculously intense, with intensely harsh booze, oxidation, vinous notes, and some sugars. Ultimately, the notes here don’t work for me—lots of bready oxidation, booze, and feet on the finish. Not a fan.

Medium brown. On the nose, it's boozy, with some plastic, grapey, maybe some toffee. Low carbonation, slightly oily, tannic, and actually less boozy on the palate than on the nose. For something that expresses as boozy and unbalanced on the aroma, it's actually more balanced on the palate.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Medium dark amber brown with no head. Boozy, oxidized wine barrel, cured meat, dry muted oak, medium body, intense, verges on gimmicky.

330mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a minimal head. The nose is a bit weird, some oxidation and woody sugars, booze. Flavour is very intense, dark sugars, some dark red wine barrels, cardboard. It's okay, but pretty lopsided and boozy.

On tap at Borefts 2024. Black beer no head. I mean, it's hot. Boozy. Some blackcurrant aroma from the red wine barrel. Red wine throughout when you tune into it. And throughout cassis is very insistent. I mean it doesn't even settle down. Big abv toffee

Clear dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: bleh, very intense but not very nice, alcohol, weird, malty, grains, meh. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet, very malty, grains, more alcohol, sugary, meh. Aftertaste: some dried fruits, very oxidized, lots of alcohol burning the throat, don’t like it.
