OK, so it’s rich, complex, and we think a rather fine brew, but it’s Christmas cheer you’ll be drinking here. So give us a “Hey!”. Give us a “Ho! Hey! Ho!”, Santa’s here! Say it loud and clear…”Bartender, if you please, give me a Ho, Ho, Ho!”

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 9 Dec 2016) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with crisp-bread, orange peel and dark fruit. Malty, slightly vinous taste with crisp-bread, orange peel, caramel and a generous spicy bitterness in a finish with a slight alcohol glow. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and warming winter ale. Nice one.

Bottle. Red pour. Aroma of bitter hop, caramel, pine and spices. Taste is bitter and malty, with pine, bitter grass and caramel. Not very spicey, bit like a bitter barley wine.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Medium sized fawn-coloured head with fine duration and crocheted lacing down the glass. Cloudy, brown-reddish body. An extra score for the bottle label drawing - best so far this Christmas. Inviting aroma of resinous hops and brown malts. Rich dried fruity flavours with impact from toffee, bread, and pine. Drying malt-fruity bitterness to a lingering finish. Hidden alcohol. Well bodied, still easy to drink. Joyful Yuletide brew from Barcelona (Tromsø 17.12.2016).

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket hjemme 4 Des 16. Mørk rødbrun. Høyt luftig skum med kremkonsistens. Herlig aroma av plommer / aprikos. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken fyldig & balansert. Ulik frukt. Mest mørke plommer. Svakt tørr alkoholpreg etter hvert.
