A dark, almost black beer, a head is very small and beige. Aroma has lots of dried fruits, prune, raisin, grapes, some barrel. Taste has dried fruits, raisin, prune, some barrel with grapes Full bodied, not stickyness. There is no the same magic of normal Pannepot.

Bottle picked up in Dranken Vandewoude, Veurne and consumed at home Thursday 8th May 2025 after another day of driving to/from the builders merchants, this time in Regen. We had homemade Pastitsio tonight for tea and now listening to Riley & Coe on 6Music. Pours almost black with a light beige head. Barrel ageing very noticeable, it's all over it. Nice mouthfeel, soft but also a bit zippy. A little bit of liquorice, tangy and fruity. It's really developed a wine like quality to it. Loz thinks very balsamic, I don't think that she's a big fan. I'm not entirely sure about this, interesting yes, there's clearly a pannepot there somewhere but perhaps I've moved on from this beer, years ago I was a big fan of pannepot but now perhaps I long for something simpler.

0.33l bottle, ginormous thanks Fin & Loz! Shared with Hrabren and Ogi. Murky darker brown body, tiny off-white head. Dried fruit, barrel, vanilla, carob, honey, tartness. Sherry, dry, tart taste, dates, prunes, bit tart, minerally, actually well balanced, almost juicy, quite pleasant. Pretty tasty.

Smooth, silky, oily. Flavour is dried fruit, raisins, dates, caramel, chocolate, sherry, rum barrel. Chewy. Potent. Medium body, soft carbonation, minimal bitterness. Quite sweet. Some tartness in the finish.

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown clour with small, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige head. BA dominated, sweet-ish, malty aroma, intense notes of Port, Marsala with (vinous) fruity and spicy aspects, caramel malty background, weak, woody and minimally doughy, yeasty overtones. Taste is as well BA dominated with more woody and minimally tart-ish aspects, no residual sweetness, notes of Port, Marsala again, now more vinous fruitiness, more woody, even minimally tannic aspects, rather neutral, minimally toasty, caramel malty basis with a touch of treacle; tart-ish, dry woody and minimally bitter hoppy counterpart lends some easiness.
Minimally viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate
BA dominated in a very nice mode

Never had a beer aged in barrels anywhere close to this long! 330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with intense red wine, dark dried fruits, light tannins, and woody oak. Flavour is quite something, expressing intense red wine character, lots of tannins, and a touch of sweetness, and yet there is nothing harsh whatsoever here. The base is difficult to discern but is obviously well-composed. Lovely experiment (or accident?).

375mL bottle. Pours dark mahagony with a light beige head. Tons of red wine, smoky wood, toffee malts, brown sugar, dark currants. Flavour is rich and earthy; fruity red wine, gentle tannins, smoky wood, refined sugars. Very easy-drinking, lovely wine barrel character with the dark fruit characteristics of the dark strong. Not as heavy as a strong ale normally is and with none of the harshness of a wine. This is excellent.
