Dunkler, alkoholisch malziger Beginn. Dabei weder drückend noch übertrieben, weich, viel Whisky, süffig. Langer, dunkel whiskyartig malziger Abgang. Gut. 10/11/9/10/9/10

Thanks to Bierkoning from the RB Swap 2019/03 Creamy off white head stayed on a reddish brown still body. Syrup, sugar & jam aroma. Full bodied, soft on the tongue with an airy dry back. Oak, wood, tannin, sherry, herbaceous, church & jam tastes.

31st Jan 2020: 8th International Beer Exchange in De Bierboom (Pre Brugge Bier Festival). Poured from a can, off-white head, thin; amber/bronze body, slight haze. Boozy and with a definite Bourbon twist in both the aroma and taste. Nice!

Can. Garnet-bronze color, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweetish, strong dessert wine, bourbon, raisins, pies, candied fruit, dried apples. Taste: sweetish, plum wine, bourbon, vanilla, strong wine, candied fruit, oak, barrel, good barrel.

Can 330ml (Alko web) Deep ruby colour, medium-sized brownish head. Strong bourbon aroma, rye bread, toffee. Medium-bodied. Bourbon, wood, alcohol, green apple, caramel, rye bread in the flavour. Quite sweet, bourbon-heavy barley wine.

33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, wood, bourbon. Taste of wood, bourbon, wood, whiskey, caramel, sweet sticky finish.

Quite a nice barley wine with lots of bourbon. Just unfortunately a bit bland; fruitiness is a but too restrained and dry with green apple. Bourbon and wood. Not bad but not amazing either.

A dark, red-brown beer, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma is very strong, raisin, barrel, alcohol. Alcohol isn't so strong in taste anymore, dried fruitness of raisin, dryer barrel. Almost full bodied. Too boozy, but not bad, lots of raisins.

THT December 2019 at Kwartje. Can. Near clear brown with white head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts, crusty caramel candies, massive alcohol.
