33 cl bottle. Batch #0718, BBE 4.9.2027

Soy sauce, alcohol licorice, too well roasted malt. No signs of maple. Kind of works as a slow sipper.

A black beer, a head is small and brown. Aroma has roastiness and sweetness of maple syrup, light chocolate. Taste has strog sweetness, maple syrup, roastiness, hint of alcohol and wood. Full bodied. Powerful, but too sweet.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 24/12/24. Lighter shade of black topped with a khaki head that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, mellow roast, maple syrup, molasses, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate cake, spice, maple syrup, dark malts, toffee fudge. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light spike of alcohol. So so impy stout ... a little 1D and pedestrian.

Tap at Goblet ZG, courtesy of Marijan R. Black body, off-white head. It was weirdly layered in veceo's glass as well. Somewhat oxidized, massive aroma, malty, caramelly, subduet maple if any. The taste shows much more maple, caramel, oxidized, some alcohol, bitterish, woody finish. Okay, not a huge fan.

Bottled 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate and whiff of maple in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, maple, noticable but balanced alcohol with sweet finish.

Black, lasting tan head. Rich roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Full bodied with low carb and alc warmth. Roasted flavour, chocolate and quite some sweetness nicely balanced by a nice bitterness. Some maple in the finish. Lasting bittersweet finish.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived pale tan head. Airy palate and a paradoxical mild viscosity, slightly dry, decent superfine carbonation. Rich dark malts, good dark chocolate, fairly bitter coffee underneath. Some alcohol spice in the mid. Maple sweetness, which normally dominantes, struggles to assert itself here, it's a savoury maple. Tangy bitterish finish. Interesting brew, really not the sugar bomb I was expecting.
