Bottle 750ml @ gunnfryd. Pours dark reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, dried fruits, vanilla and oak. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, dried fruity, vanilla and oak finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Bottle, 75cl. The trickies beer to open this year, too much and too resistant wax. It pours a hazy chestnut colored body under a small beige head. The aroma is surprisingly gentle, lightly boozy, with dark dried fruit, toffee and some dark chocolate in the aroma. Some caramel. It's medium to full-bodied, very softly carbonated and lightly warming. Dark dried fruit, caramel, toffee and some dark chocolate. Alcohol. Lasting finish. A bit too gentle all the way this one, but far from bad. 241123

Delt med EgilB & Håvard på Lillehøgda. Ultramørkebrun. Uklar. Skumring. Aroma av mandler & nøtter. Smaken som aromaen. Balansert. Lett tørr avslutning.

Sample at Gladmatfestivalen, Stavanger. Brown colour. Pleasant aroma and flavour of a typical quadrupel, but with a somewhat drier character than most of them, and of course distinct notes of oak and the various liquor barrels that have been used here. Does still appear fairly well balanced and enjoyable. Might well buy again.

Overraskende slank maltkropp men allikevel fyldig munnfølelse. Lett uklar kastanjebrun med fint skum som varer. En 0,7 flaske er går fint i selskap med biografien om Ingvar Ambjørnsen Ønsk meg heller god tur.

Shared bottle at home. Pours hazy copper with off-white head. Aroma of rum, cognac, dark dried fruits, caramel. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing fruityness and bitterness. Medium bodied. A very nice and complex beer. Although the beer has been stored in four different barrels, the barrel aroma is restrained and does not dominate the malt and hop aroma of the base beer.
