The apricot version in Tilquin’s new experimental fruit lambic series. Some loose, minuscule, off-white bubbles around the edge here and there, but quickly gone; hazy straw blonde robe with somewhat olive-greenish tinge. Aroma of lots and lots of ripe apricot, apple peel, pear, raspberry vinegar, chalk. Lemony sour and unripe stonefruit-like wry on the onset but with a ripe stonefruit sweetish core (the apricot), softly carbonated, dryingly acidic till the end made more complex by an astringent, tannic apricot kernel effect. Very rich in fruitiness, but tart and astringent as well – this could (and should) be developed into a very complex bottled lambic, like the peach and mirabelle versions.

Sampled at BXL 18. Thnx for sharing, everyone. Pours unclear blonde. Small white head. Smell is very full, intensely fruity. Taste is sharp, tart, bit buttery, yet that aspects actually enhances the beer. Very intense fruity, and quite nice. One of the best tilquin fruit variants to date, to me.

Sample @ BXL BeerFest 2018, shared with Belgian RB crew, thanks.
