Fra flaske, DSJT på Cardinal nov-13: stor og kompleks kryddersmak - et interessant øl som må prøves igjen. Her har de pakket mye inn i bare 5,4%.

Dark brown with a hint of red. Clear. Not much head. Aroma of dark toffee. Still refreshing and well balanced. A decent attempt of a Yule ale from the UK.

Bottle from Tescos in Amersham, Bucks. A dark brown/red coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Malty, caramel aroma. Tastes malty, caramel, dark fruit, nutty, slight bitterness. Had this one many times before when it was sold in the stunning black bottle. Nice English strong ale.

Bottle from Brewdog Slovensko. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, nuts. Huge off-white head, quickly disappearing. Clear dark ruby colour. Taste is cofee and caramel, bitter has the upper hand right away. Coffee, caramel and nut flavours work very well here, good balance. Drinkability is higher. Finish is longer in duration, bitter, Finally a beer from this brewery which can receive some decent numbers.

Fine winter ale, full bodied with plenty of sweet fruitiness. It also has pleasant subtle roasted flavours and coffee notes. Very dark brown with a small off-white head.

Clear reddish dark brown with nice tan head that doesn’t last. Subtle, pleasant malty aroma. Lovely palate, plenty of body, almost oily thick with a nice tingle of carbonation. Taste is rich and complex with malty sweetness and chocolates dark roast malts. Overall a great string dark beer.

Smak och doft av humle, kraftig maltig smak och karamell, mörkt bröd och en bra beska. Lite rostad ton i eftersmaken.
