2021 vintage can shared at Csakajó. Pours jet black with a beige head. Nose is booze, dark chocolate, licorice, smoke and peated notes. Taste is booze, chocolate, coffee, nougat, light to mid smoke, some dried fruits and peated malts. Clsoes with a smokey chocolatey finish, has a big, creamy body and soft carbonation. Lovely.

Can from Lekkerbier, St. Nicolaasga. Aroma is intense roasted malt with chocolate, cofee, mocha, touch of liquorice and dried dark fruits. Flavour is sweet with a firm roasty bitterness. Body is full. Smooth and rich, very roasty and sweeth with plenty of chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Another very solid Moersleutel.

Aucun souci, on retrouve bien la patte De Moersleutel dans cet imeprial riche gourmand, riche et intense. Cette fois ci, ils nous proposent une version avec des malts fumés et tourbés. Je ne suis donc pas en terrain de prédilection. Toutefois, il n’y a pas la sensation de gros barbecue de lard fumé et les arômes fumés, même s’ils sont bien présents, n’écrasent pas les autres. En verre nous sommes sur un noir total, une effervescence soutenue et une belle mousse brune et crémeuse. Au nez, en complément des arômes de chocolat et café intenses, ceux de fumé et tourbé s’allient proprement. En bouche, on retrouve cette texture dense, marque de fabrique de la brasserie avec beaucoup d’intensité et de gourmandise. Corpulence et longueur sont bien présentes. A part que je ne suis pas le plus grand fan des bières fumés, joli travail.

Poured from 440mL can. Black with small light tan head. Roasty, light fruity notes, mild peat, quite nice, balanced.

27/1/2023. Can shared with Dan & Col post Colchester. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of honey roasted ham, peat, fruits, smoked meats, roasted malt. Heavy sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, creamy, soft carbonation. Didn't enjoy this so much.

Black with a medium fizzy light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and slightly smoke. Sweet with a sticky chocolate, dark fruits and smoke sense and the end. Full bodied, like.

Can. A black one, with a small, dense, firm light tan head. Quite oily pour, and some curtains. The aroma is intense an delicious, with licorice, roasted malts, some smoke notes, a good dash of peat and oat biscuit and a light hint of semi-dark chocolate. A light piney hoppy touch occurs when the beer warms slighlty. It's full-bodied, warming, sweet but not cloying and softly carbonated, with some bitterness going on. Roasted malts, some smoke, a good dash of licorice, hints of piney hops, some peat and a touch of chocolate in the flavor. Oat biscuits too. Lasting sweet and malt driven finish. A delicious one indeed, well suited for an hour in the favorite chair. 220727

440ml can kindly shared by Finn. Pours a noisy, fawn-coloured head over a pitch black body, fragile lacing. Chocolate nose with a light peaty scent, inviting. Smoked malty flavours supported by chocolate and toffee. Lingering aftertaste of chocolate sweetness offset by roasted bitterness. Full bodied. Nice sipper. (Session at Finn's place, Nerstranda Tromsø 21.07.2022).

Delt med Rune på Nerstranda. Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum. Læraroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken røkt torv. Tørr. Bitter avslutning.

Donkerbruin bier met lichtbruin schuim. Smaak is warnm en krachtig bitterzoet met iets van chocolade, wat toffee, vanille en een heel lichte rooksmaak die er heel goed bij past.
